Paint party planned
SMITHVILLE -- Smithville United Methodist Student Ministries will host "Unleash Your Inner Artist" paint party fundraiser Saturday, April 22, from 4-6 p.m. in fellowship hall, 243 N. Milton St. Supplies are furnished along with step-by-step artist instruction; no painting experience necessary. Snacks and beverage provided. Cost is $40 with event limited to 50. Padgetts to be in concert
APPLE CREEK -- The Padgetts from Miamisburg will be in concert at Apple Creek United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Their first CD is called "Bridging The Gap" and currently they are working on a second recording.
The church is at 269 W. Main St. Refreshments will be served following the concert. Everyone is welcome. A freewill offering will be taken.
Mike Payne to sing
WOOSTER -- Mike Payne, Southern Gospel singer and songwriter will be at Faith Harvest Fellowship, 116 E. South St., on Sunday, April 23. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the service is at4. There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering will be collected at the service.

SMITHVILLE -- Smithville United Methodist Church, 243 N. Militon St., will hold Holy Humor Sunday April 23, during the 9:30 a.m. worship. Holy Humor Sunday celebrates God's best joke on an unbelieving world -- the resurrection. Take your favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal.

Day of Prayer Breakfast planned
DOYLESTOWN -- The Doylestown Ministerial Association and Doylestown Lions Club invites all area resident to a National Day of Prayer Breakfast Thursday, May 4, from 7-8 a.m. It will be at the American Legion Post, 49 Black Drive.
A breakfast buffet of scrambled eggs, meat, French toast, Danish, fruit, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, coffee and orange juice will be served by the American Legion. Cost for the breakfast is $9.
Tickets are on sale at Doylestown Village Water Department in Town Hall, Doylestown United Methodist Church, 153 Church St., or at the Lemonade Porch, 25 W. Clinton St. or by calling Earl Kerr at 330-658-6342 for ticket delivery.
Special guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Gary George, assistant to the Bishop of the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church.
