Ventriloquist to appear in Apple Creek
APPLE CREEK -- HopeQuest Ministries is hosting a fun and inspirational event for the community with Ryan & Friends, a Christian ventriloquist comedian. Ryan & Friends performs throughout the United States and Canada and also on Disney Cruise Lines.
HopeQuest Ministries seeks to help married couples understand each other more fully and create an emotionally connected marriage as well as helping premarital couples in their preparation for marriage. Directors Paul and Cindy Mullet work with local churches to provide this Biblically-based counseling service.
This event will be at Fairlawn Mennonite Church, 8520 Emerson Road, on Saturday, March 18. Tickets are $20/adults and $10/ages 3-10. This includes a banquet-style meal with appetizers available at 4 p.m., the meal served at 5, and the presentation by Ryan & Friends. Tickets also are available for the presentation by Ryan & Friends (no meal) for $10. The evening will conclude with a raffle of some fun and unique items. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Supper, table worship and reflection planned
NEW PITTSBURG -- St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9451 Ashland Road, will hold Wednesday evening soup suppers at 6:30 p.m. during Lent (March 8-29), followed by worship and reflection at the table in the Fellowship Hall. There will be a video course, "Faith Lessons from the Life of the Messiah." Teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan brings together history, culture, and geography to illuminate the Gospels.
WEST LEBANON -- West Lebanon United Methodist Church will hold Lenten Bible study will be at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, March 8-29. Good Friday Service, The Funeral of Jesus Christ, will be at 7 p.m.
Lenten Soup Suppers/Midweek Worship
WOOSTER -- Salem Lutheran Church, 4873 Cleveland Road, invites the community to Family Soup Suppers in the fellowship hall Wednesdays during Lent (March 8-April 5).
Soup is served at 6 p.m.; Holden Evening Prayer follows at 7.
If you prefer a daylight worship service, Morning Prayer will be held Wednesdays at 11 a.m. -- a quiet, meditative worship focused on Luther's Small Catechism.
