WINESBURG -- Dan J. Keim, 88, of 2361 County Road 160, Winesburg, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the home of his daughter in Mount Eaton.
He was born in Holmes County on Aug. 28, 1928 to the late Jacob A. and Nettie (Weaver) Keim and married Sarah J. Kline on Nov. 24, 1948. She died Nov. 22, 2013.
He was a farmer all of his life and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by children, Jake and Cheryl Keim, Dave and Velma Keim and Anna and Nelson Troyer, all of Winesburg, and Erma and Ervin Yoder of Mount Eaton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Steve Keim of Wilmot, Aden (Ella) Keim of Mount Eaton and Ray (Mary) Keim of Wilmot; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Keim of Wooster.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary; brothers, Abe and Roy; and a sister-in-law, Ada Keim.
Funeral services were Sunday, April 9, 2017, at 9 a.m. at the Nelson Troyer residence, 2359 County Road 160, with Bishop Mervin Miller officiating. Burial was in Troyer Cemetery, Paint Township, Holmes County. Friends called after 10 a.m. on Friday at the Nelson Troyer residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton handled the arrangements.
